Antiphona 2
Christmas Day - Lauds
About This Prayer
Proper text for the Nativity of Our Lord (December 25), the greatest feast of the Christmas season. This Class I feast celebrates the Incarnation: God becoming man in the womb of the Virgin Mary. The Office texts draw from Isaiah's prophecies and the Gospel accounts, emphasizing the theological mystery that the eternal Word took flesh for our salvation.
