DIVINUM OFFICIUM Antiphon

Antiphona ad Magnificat I Vesp. - Dominica in Albis

Dominica in Albis (Low Sunday) - I Vespers Magnificat

About This Prayer

The First Vespers Magnificat antiphon for Low Sunday (Dominica in Albis), recounting Christ's appearance on Easter evening (John 20:19). The closed doors signify both the disciples' fear and Christ's glorified body's freedom from material constraints. His greeting 'Peace be to you' institutes the Church's characteristic salutation.
