Feria V infra Octavam Paschae (Easter Thursday) - Vespers Magnificat

The Magnificat antiphon for Easter Thursday Vespers, presenting Mary Magdalene's lament: 'They have taken away my Lord' (John 20:13). Her seeking love, though initially misdirected toward the dead, is rewarded with the first appearance of the Risen Christ. She becomes the 'apostle to the apostles.'

They have taken away my Lord; and I know not where they have laid him: if thou hast taken him hence, tell me, alleluia: and I will take him away, alleluia.
