Feria II Hebdomadae Sanctae - Holy Monday Vespers Collect

This Vespers collect for Holy Monday asks that we may 'celebrate with joy the memory of those benefits by which thou deigned to redeem us.' The Passion is here called 'beneficia' (benefits), transforming the narrative of suffering into a story of gift and redemption. Holy Week's liturgy maintains this paradox of suffering as saving gift.
