Second Sunday of Lent, Nocturn III, Responsory 2

This responsory for the Second Sunday of Lent recalls Christ's command after the Transfiguration: 'Tell the vision to no man until the Son of man be risen from the dead' (Matthew 17:9). The injunction to silence connects the Transfiguration to the Resurrection. The responsory maintains the Lenten tension between revealed glory and the approaching Passion.
