Dominica II Passionis seu in Palmis - Palm Sunday II Vespers Magnificat

This Magnificat antiphon for Palm Sunday Second Vespers draws from Matthew 26:31-32: 'For it is written: I will strike the shepherd and the sheep of the flock shall be dispersed; but after I shall be risen again, I will go before you into Galilee.' The antiphon anticipates the Passion's scattering of the disciples while also promising the Resurrection reunion in Galilee.

Scriptum est enim: Percutiam pastorem, et dispergentur oves gregis: postquam autem resurrexero, praecedam vos in Galilaeam: ibi me videbitis, dicit Dominus.
