Vigil of Ascension

The Benedictus antiphon for Rogation Wednesday (Vigil of Ascension), presenting Christ's High Priestly Prayer (John 17:1). Jesus asks the Father to glorify Him with the glory He had before the world existed. This antiphon anticipates the Ascension, when Christ returns to His pre-incarnate glory while remaining present through the Spirit.
