LITANIAE S. IOSEPH
The Litany of Saint Joseph
About This Prayer
The Litany of Saint Joseph was approved by Pope St. Pius X in 1909, following Pius IX's declaration of St. Joseph as Patron of the Universal Church (1870) and Leo XIII's encyclical Quamquam Pluries (1889). The 27 invocations address his role in the Holy Family, his virtues, and his patronages including a happy death.
