ABSOLVE DOMINE
Absolve, O Lord
About This Prayer
The Absolve Domine is a collect from the Requiem Mass petitioning God to loose the souls of the faithful departed from every bond of sin. Its phrase 'iudicium ultionis' reflects pre-Vatican II eschatology's emphasis on particular judgment and the need for purification.
