Prayer Text

LATINE
Num eos in necessitate adiuvare neglexi?
Iesu, Maria, Ioseph, adstate mihi in ultima agonia.
Iesu, Maria, Ioseph, in pace vobiscum emittam spiritum meum.
ENGLISH
Honour thy father and thy mother.
Have I honoured and obeyed my parents in all that is not sin?
Have I neglected to help them in their necessity?
Have I treated them with disrespect, contempt, or harshness?
Have I caused them grief by my conduct?
Have I honoured my spiritual superiors—the Pope, my bishop, and my priests?
Have I been disrespectful or disobedient to lawful authority?
Have I failed in my duties toward my spouse, children, or those under my care?
Have I given scandal to younger or weaker souls?
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, I give you my heart and my soul.
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, assist me in my last agony.
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, may I breathe forth my soul in peace with you.
