Advent IV - Lauds Antiphon 4

"Dominus veniet, occurrite illi" (The Lord will come, go forth to meet Him) commands active preparation. The Isaian titles (Mighty God, Ruler, Prince of Peace) accumulate majesty. The double alleluia releases Advent's pent-up joy as Christmas dawns.

ENGLISH
The Lord will come, go ye forth to meet him, and say: Great is his empire, and his reign shall have no end: he is God, the Mighty, the Ruler, the Prince of Peace, alleluia, alleluia.
