The None antiphon for Paschaltide from Psalm 118, invoking God's radiant countenance. At None, the ninth hour, the Church commemorates Christ's death (Matthew 27:46). During Eastertide, the petition for God's shining face recalls the glory of the Risen Christ, whose face 'shone like the sun' (Matthew 17:2), now revealed in eternal splendor.
