Prayer Text
LATINE
V. Adoramus te, Christe, et benedicimus tibi.
R. Quia per sanctam Crucem tuam redemisti mundum.
STATIO XIV — Iesus in sepulcro ponitur
Considera quomodo discipuli corpus Domini in sindone involverunt et in sepulcro novo posuerunt, ubi numquam quisquam positus fuerat.
Iesu mi, ad pedes tuos projicio me, et tibi animam meam offero. Amplector te, Iesu mi. In te vivo, in te morior. Tuus sum; salva me.
Amo te, Iesu mi, super omnia, et ex toto corde me poenitet quod offenderim te. Numquam permittas ut iterum a te separar. Da ut semper te amem, et postea fac de me quidquid tibi placuerit.
Pater Noster. Ave Maria. Gloria Patri.
Oratio finalis
Respice, quaesumus Domine, super hanc familiam tuam, pro qua Dominus noster Iesus Christus non dubitavit manibus tradi nocentium, et crucis subire tormentum.
Qui tecum vivit et regnat in saecula saeculorum. Amen.
ENGLISH
V. We adore Thee, O Christ, and we bless Thee.
R. Because by Thy holy Cross Thou hast redeemed the world.
STATION XIV — Jesus Is Laid in the Sepulchre
Consider how the disciples wrapped the body of the Lord in a shroud and laid Him in a new tomb, where no one had yet been laid.
My Jesus, I throw myself at Thy feet and offer Thee my soul. I embrace Thee, my Jesus. In Thee I live, in Thee I die. I am Thine; save me.
I love Thee, my Jesus, above all things; I repent with my whole heart of having offended Thee. Never permit me to separate myself from Thee again. Grant that I may love Thee always, and then do with me what Thou wilt.
Our Father. Hail Mary. Glory Be.
Closing Prayer
Look down, we beseech Thee, O Lord, upon this Thy family, for which our Lord Jesus Christ did not hesitate to be delivered into the hands of wicked men and to undergo the torment of the Cross.
Who liveth and reigneth with Thee forever and ever. Amen.
